About The Position

Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Intern to join their team at Vibra Hospital of Fargo, located in Fargo, ND. Vibra Hospital of Fargo is a 31-bed Critical Care Hospital that provides acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. These patients often require critical care for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. The hospital offers a fast-paced and friendly work environment where employees can get to know their patients and families.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent required.
Pharmacy Student meeting the Board of Pharmacy requirements to function as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of employment required.
Valid driver’s license necessary in states with multiple facilities requiring delivering to sites.

Nice To Haves

Six (6) months experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred.
Ability to project a professional image.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Responsibilities

Performs a wide variety of technical and clerical duties related to the hospital drug distribution system under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Fills physician orders by preparing and distributing medications, including intravenous admixtures and extemporaneous drug preparations.
Maintains the drug inventory.
Maintains confidential patient records.
May participate in the hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Program with a focus on patient safety and public health.
