Pharmacy Intern - Grad

CVS Health•Henderson, NV

About The Position

CVS Health Graduate Pharmacy Interns support retail pharmacy teams while developing the skills needed for a Pharmacist role. Under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader, the intern completes a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, building knowledge of store, district, and regional operations, patient safety, error prevention, quality assurance, drug utilization review, professional standards, corresponding responsibility, and red-flag detection. The intern helps pharmacy operations run smoothly and ensures prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service to patients. The role applies pharmacy-school learning in practice, follows Standard Operating Procedures and best practices, communicates effectively, and contributes to a safe and inclusive workplace. As readiness increases, the intern takes on greater accountability for supporting pharmacy management, oversight, and operations. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, the intern may provide additional patient health services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. The position requires obtaining pharmacist licensure within the timeframe required by state guidelines; failure to obtain it within 120 days of graduation results in separation of employment.
