About The Position

RELION Pharmacy, NY is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacy In-Charge to join our team. We are seeking a licensed and experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced professional environment in New York City. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications while maintaining full regulatory compliance and delivering excellent patient care. Candidates available for immediate joining are preferred.

Requirements

Active Pharmacist License in the State of New York (required)
Minimum 1-2 years experience in retail or hospital pharmacy
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of pharmacy laws and compliance standards
Strong leadership and team management
Attention to detail and high accuracy in dispensing medications
Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
Knowledge of prescription drugs, interactions, and therapeutics
Inventory management and controlled substance handling
Regulatory compliance (DEA, FDA, NY State Board of Pharmacy)
Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
Ability to work in fast-paced healthcare environments
Proficiency with pharmacy software systems (e.g., Rx dispensing systems, EMR tools)
Organizational and time management skills

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as PIC or pharmacy leadership preferred

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage all pharmacy operations
Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
Verify prescriptions and oversee medication dispensing accuracy
Provide patient counseling and clinical support
Manage and train pharmacy staff
Maintain inventory control and medication safety standards
Coordinate with physicians and healthcare providers
Ensure proper recordkeeping and audit readiness
Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients
Provide detailed counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
Maintain accurate records and manage controlled substances responsibly
Oversee and train pharmacy staff to ensure adherence to best practices
Work with healthcare providers to manage and improve patient care
Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock
Handle insurance claims processing and reimbursement efficiently
Address and resolve patient inquiries and concerns professionally
