About The Position

This position ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned areas by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring loss prevention and safety controls, overseeing safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews, and developing and implementing action plans. The intern will provide pharmaceutical care to customers by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders under the direction of a Pharmacist, counseling customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs, maintaining confidential information, and maintaining controlled medication procedures as permitted by local, state, and federal laws. The role also involves ensuring the accuracy of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and evaluating potential chemical interactions and side effects associated with the use of prescribed medications. Additionally, the intern will ensure accurate communication and interpretation of written prescriptions to/from physicians, maintain confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records, and provide customer service by acknowledging customers, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services while maintaining a safe shopping environment. The intern will operate equipment such as cash registers, receive and stock merchandise/supplies, organize and maintain the Pharmacy area, and maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, rotating, removing damaged goods, setting up displays, and signing/pricing merchandise appropriately. Requirements

  • Enrolled in final year at an accredited Pharmacy school.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains merchandise presentation in the Pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
