About The Position

This position involves complying with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies. The role includes preparing and dispensing prescription medications, maintaining necessary records, accurate third-party adjudication and patient charges, and inventory management. The pharmacist will counsel patients and medical providers on drug usage, dosage, interactions, and side effects, while also monitoring patient health and progress to optimize therapies. Participation in patient-centered services such as immunization, MTM, and wellness programs is expected. The role also involves supervising pharmacy personnel, providing guidance and training to interns, technicians, and associates, and monitoring their performance. The pharmacist will use professional judgment to provide exemplary service within their scope of practice, participate in business development activities, and contribute to continuous quality improvement programs to ensure patient safety. Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized workstation and department facilities according to legal and company standards is also required. Completing required continuing education programs is necessary to comply with state law. Other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 5 year Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy
  • Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice
  • Immunization Certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively: verbal, written and electronic

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and dispenses prescription medications.
  • Maintains necessary records, accurate third party adjudication and patient charges, and inventory management.

  • Monitors the health and progress of patients to ensure compliance and to optimize therapies.

  • Supervises personnel in the daily operation of the pharmacy department and holds them accountable for complying with regulatory and company polices.
  • Provides guidance and training to pharmacy interns, technicians, and pharmacy associates during the course of work and monitors performance.

  • Participates in business development activities in the store and community.
