Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
  • Must apply prior to hire for Pharmacy Technician licensure by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
  • Chauffeur driver license; class E or higher for Missouri residents.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and deliver prescriptions or other supplies to residential and external business addresses.
  • Obtain delivery confirmation signatures and communicate directly with patients, pharmacy and other MUHC staff.
  • Operate small to medium size motor vehicles for performing transportation and delivery of prescription medications, materials and general supplies.
  • Safely and efficiently follow delivery routes and observe all traffic and parking regulations.
  • Operate tracking technology.
  • Track lost or missing packages and recover/intercept abandoned commercial deliveries.
  • Load and unload vehicle and operate a hand cart.
  • Perform routine vehicle safety checks including observation and reporting of vehicle defects.
  • Perform pharmacy technician related duties and other duties as assigned.
  • May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.
