About The Position
Olmsted Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Delivery Driver to deliver OMC-filled pharmacy medications to patients' homes or places of residence. This PRN, day shift position requires extensive driving knowledge of Rochester and surrounding communities, a valid driver's license, and a reliable personal vehicle. The role involves effective communication with pharmacy staff and patients, proper handling of medication deliveries and returns, answering telephones, operating a Point of Sale system, and filing records.
Requirements
- Extensive driving knowledge of Rochester and the surrounding communities
- Must have valid drivers license in good standing
- Must have reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided)
Responsibilities
- Effectively and efficiently delivers OMC-filled pharmacy medications to a patient’s home or place of residence.
- Effectively communicates with pharmacy staff as well as OMC patients.
- Conducts proper delivery and return of medications to and from patient care departments.
- Answers telephones.
- Operates Point of Sale system.
- Files records as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
