About The Position
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Georgia Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Coordinator Technician to join our team at Coastal State Prison, located in Port Wentworth, GA. The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist to aid and assist the Pharmacist in assigned duties, including interacting with healthcare professionals and corrections and administrative staff to achieve the goals of the Pharmacy Department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Current certification and licensure as a Pharmacy Technician required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
Responsibilities
- Typing prescription data into the pharmacy computerized filing system
- Ensuring proper maintenance and operation of a well-stocked pharmacy
- Ensuring prescription orders are faxed to the contracted pharmacy for processing
- Maintaining pharmacy files on prescriptions, requisitions, medication logs, drug and patient information, purchase orders, and other records as required by the Pharmacist
