About The Position

The pharmacy consultant position is an integral component of Access’s dedication to stewardship in its mission of improving the health and lives of its patients. Primary areas of responsibility include oversight and subject matter expertise for pharmacy services and the 340B Drug Pricing Program. Working collaboratively with leadership, clinical teams, contract pharmacy partners, and external stakeholders, this position is responsible for ensuring program compliance, optimizing pharmacy access and savings opportunities, and supporting safe and effective medication management for patients. The Pharmacy Consultant serves as a strategic resource on pharmacy operations, regulatory requirements, high-risk medication oversight, 340B program administration, helping to strengthen access to affordable medications while maintaining compliance with federal and organizational standards. This role maintains strict confidentiality and uses discretion regarding sensitive information.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting pharmacy services
• Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations
• Experience working with 340B Program
• Knowledge of pharmacy manufacturers, wholesalers and supply chain structure
• Experience with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to develop policies, procedures, and workflow improvements
• Ability to run complex programs
• Proficiency in using Excel and producing meaningful pharmacy activity reports used for financial analysis
• Passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes social impact and belonging

Nice To Haves

• Active pharmacist license and pharmacy degree
• Apexus Certified Expert (340B ACE)
• Expert knowledge of 340B Program requirements
• Related healthcare degree

Responsibilities
