About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor and all Registered Pharmacists and Technicians, the Pharmacy Clerk provides clerical services and support in the Pharmacy. They handle phone calls, complete administrative tasks, and support the dispensing of pharmaceutical medications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Experience with pharmacy software

Responsibilities

  • Complete work-order requests for the inpatient and outpatient departments, including those related to engineering, quality, and maintenance inspections.
  • Perform manual tasks including, deliver/tube medications to patient care areas, review cold storage alarms, assist in medication stocking and re-stocking.
  • Maintain supplies, including support of Inventory Control Specialist by scanning inventory from wholesaler, unboxing warehouse orders, counting inventory, and maintaining stock levels, etc.
  • Perform clerical duties including, but not limited to, timecard edits, file organizing, copying, scanning, data entry, and operating the cash register.
  • Participates in hospital performance improvement activities (LEAN projects, task forces, etc) when assigned.
