About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Clerk to join our team on a temporary basis for the summer. This role provides administrative and customer support to the pharmacy staff and is ideal for someone interested in healthcare or gaining pharmacy experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Intermediate computer skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Friendly, dependable, and prompt
- Sensitivity and commitment to serving low-income, underserved, and diverse populations
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Greeting and assisting pharmacy customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Managing prescription intake for new prescriptions and refills
- Informing patients of expected wait times
- Operating the cash register for prescription purchases
- Keeping the pharmacy area clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Completing end-of-day pharmacy procedures
- Supporting the Pharmacist with additional duties as assigned
- Maintaining strict HIPAA confidentiality and safety compliance
