About The Position

Provide exceptional customer service and support patients’ health and wellness needs in accordance with state and federal laws. Help create a safe, clean, and inclusive environment, provide products and services with fair and accurate pricing, and demonstrate the company’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Assist the pharmacist with pharmacy responsibilities, except those requiring a pharmacist’s professional judgment, and support dispensing and non-dispensing services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.

Nice To Haves

• Previous comparable experience.
• Equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies for protecting confidential information.
• Maintain current national or state registration, certification, or licensure as required by the state.
• Assist the pharmacist with responsibilities that do not require the pharmacist’s professional judgment.
• Provide a strong customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing prescription reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing.
• Support the coaching and training of clerks and technicians.
• Compound medications in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services using available platforms, resources, and applications.
• Complete all aspects of CLIA-waived screenings in accordance with applicable law and company policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services allowed by state and other regulatory bodies.
• Follow and reinforce sanitation and safety regulations, guidelines, procedures, and programs; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations and report illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
