About The Position
The Pharmacy Cashier plays a vital role in ensuring a positive customer experience in a pharmacy setting. This position involves handling customer transactions, answering basic inquiries, supporting pharmacy staff, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. The cashier acts as a liaison between customers and the pharmacy team, providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This position has been deemed a” Safety-Sensitive” position; therefore, Morton reserves the right to refuse to hire an applicant or may terminate an employee in a “Safety-Sensitive Position” who tests positive for medical marijuana even if he/she has a valid medical marijuana license.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bilingual Spanish required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, professional, and customer-service focused.
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with pharmacy operations, POS systems, or healthcare settings is preferred.
