Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Basic math skills and proficiency with cash handling
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with pharmacy operations and confidentiality standards is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Must be a High School Graduate.
• Experience with office work including typing, computers and office equipment.
• Medical billing experience preferred, but general office experience, with a good understanding of office functions is required.
• Knowledge of billing and collection preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their transactions at the pharmacy counter
• Process sales and handle cash, credit, and insurance payments accurately
• Maintain an organized and clean checkout area
• Answer customer inquiries and direct them to appropriate pharmacy staff when needed
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies and procedures
• Manage inventory levels at the checkout station and report shortages or discrepancies
• Support pharmacy staff with administrative tasks as required
