This role analyzes, abstracts, enters, and presents complex data, and monitors and maintains advanced databases. The Pharmacy Business Operations and Compliance Analyst will participate in research by analyzing, abstracting, entering, and presenting data. This includes reviewing patient charts, recording and summarizing data clearly and concisely, and entering abstracted data into a database. The role also involves coordinating abstract writing and presentation, programming and development of scenarios in a driving simulator, and monitoring and maintaining databases. The analyst will serve as a divisional resource for database management, staying up-to-date with database capabilities and related software/technology. They will design and maintain clinical and administrative databases, create customized data entry forms, and develop database integrations for projects. This position includes sharing supervisory responsibilities for data entry, developing data entry procedures, and implementing multi-level protections for reliable and secure data entry. The role automatically generates reports for scheduling and tracking progress, helps track administrative information for budgeting and staffing, and independently conducts data checking, cleaning, and analysis. The analyst will develop and monitor tools for data checking and cleaning, establish standards for data integrity, generate analytic datasets, and produce descriptive statistics. They will act as a resident expert in software and database development for other projects, assist with software product evaluation, recommend new software and hardware, and participate in vendor contacts for evaluative purposes. Proactive collaboration with other technical resources and acting as a resource to other team members are expected. Additionally, the role provides teaching support to faculty and staff as needed and performs other related duties such as literature searches.
