About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Optimization of drug inventory stored within pharmacy automation. Coordinate, plan and execute any automation add-ons or new hospital opening or hospital conversions Maintaining of the Automation Databases (creation of new users(students)/items/reports) An active member of the pharmacy department and pharmacy council structure as it relates to the use and optimization of pharmacy automation across the system. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy related experience including the oversight of pharmacy automation dispensing and storage technology.
  • Project management experience in the planning, preparation, and implementation of drug and inventory control automation projects including user training.
  • Pharmacy Technician License & Pharmacy Technician Board Certification (PTCB)
  • Eligible to obtain or hold IL Pharmacy Technician License and/or Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is required to talk, hear and smell. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Provides direction and oversight to the Automation Support Technicians and responsible for all aspects of automation system-wide.
