This is a 12-hour rotating shift position - 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Principal Area of Responsibility: Individual will be responsible for maintaining/troubleshooting control hardware and making changes/improvements to control software that is used in the manufacturing processes. Individual will also be responsible for mechanical work including machine tooling changeovers, mechanical system maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting. Specific Duties: Troubleshoot, maintain, repair/replace and test automation systems, components, and networks. Provide assistance to engineering, operations, and maintenance relating to process issues and/or improvements. Monitor and adjust robot motions/points as needed to ensure product quality and machine uptime. Perform changeovers on coiners and end of line systems. Perform frequent quality checks through the use of micrometers and calipers. Perform measurements on tooling through the use of micrometers, calipers, height gages, etc. Replace worn/broken mechanical, electrical and pneumatic machine components. Learn basic setup functions for molding presses Consult with automation component suppliers to specify products for installation, and also arrange for purchases of equipment, tooling, materials and/or parts. Plan, schedule and provide training for the department as required. Participate in, or lead, Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
