Requirements
- High School Graduate, upon hire or
- High School GED or equivalent, upon hire and
- Two years of recent pharmacy experience in a hospital setting or equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician: WA, upon hire
Nice To Haves
- Certified Pharmacy Tech ECPT, upon hire or
- Certified Pharmacy Tech PTCB, upon hire or
- Certified Pharmacy Tech, upon hire
Responsibilities
- Monitors activities of all the controlled substances; documents, follows up and alerts Manager/Director on all discrepancies.
- Serves as liaison between Nursing and Pharmacy for problem solving; communicates with Manager/Director regularly concerning issues/problems.
- Produces discrepancy and QA reports.Produces ADC compare reports; reviews and follows up on all defined reports associated with ADC and the CII safe; maintains storage records.
- Coordinates and maintains an accurate inventory of all controlled substances.
- Processes and ensures compliant sales to all internal and external departments, including retail, home health/hospice, off-site locations, medical clinics if applicable and other areas.
- Manages and troubleshoots all ADC stations to include security and communication of system changes and upgrades.
