About The Position
The Pharmacy Associate supports daily pharmacy operations by assisting in medication preparation, packaging, inventory management, and workflow execution under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Basic computer/data entry skills
Nice To Haves
- Pharmacy technician license (preferred or required based on state regulations)
- Experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or pharmacy operations (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Package and label medications accurately for patient delivery
- Prepare orders for pharmacist verification prior to shipment
- Follow established workflows for pack-out and distribution
- Maintain accuracy and quality in all processed prescriptions
- Receive, stock, and organize incoming pharmacy supplies
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking
- Maintain accurate records of stock and materials in systems
- Support supply staging for production areas
- Stage carts, coolers, and materials for production
- Load and prepare workstations for daily operations
- Support shipping, packing, and outbound processes
- Assist with inbound unloading and material handling when needed
- Follow all pharmacy regulations, SOPs, and company policies
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Adhere to handling requirements (temperature-sensitive medications, etc.)
- Use proper PPE and equipment per safety standards
- Enter and maintain accurate data for prescriptions and inventory
- Process records of dispensed medications and materials
- Complete required forms and documentation
- Verify medication labeling and packaging accuracy before escalation
- Identify discrepancies and escalate issues to leadership or the pharmacist
- Maintain productivity while meeting quality standards
- Clean and organize workspace and equipment
- Support continuous workflow improvements
- Assist team members to meet production targets
