Pharmacy Assistants play a key role in client care in our pharmacies. Requirements

  • You enjoy working in a team environment while providing exceptional care to clients
  • A passion for helping people in a healthcare environment
  • Previous community pharmacy experience is preferred
  • A passion for community pharmacy practice

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with other team members to provide timely high quality healthcare service delivery and exceptional client experience.
  • Having meticulous attention to detail in your work.
  • Being highly client service focused
  • Prepare and package prescriptions under pharmacist and/or pharmacy technician supervision
  • Input accurate patient and prescription data into pharmacy software
  • Process refill requests and third-party billing
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist
  • Collect prescription information accurately
  • Handle cash and card transactions, assist with OTC product inquiries
  • Receive, stock, and organize medications and health supplies
  • Track expiration dates and manage returns or waste in compliance with regulations
  • Monitor stock levels and help with order preparation
  • Maintain patient records and filing systems
  • Assist in managing faxes and coordinating follow-ups
