About The Position

Rx Drug Mart Campbellford is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Assistant to join their team. This role supports pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in delivering high-quality patient care within a community pharmacy setting. The Pharmacy Assistant will handle customer interactions, prescription processing, inventory management, and various clerical tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy with a preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business.
• Proficiency with Kroll.
• High level of accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer phone calls professionally.
• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under supervision.
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications.
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory, rotate stock, and support inventory audits.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
• Safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning.
• Assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers.
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned.
