About The Position

Central Pharmacy Services (CPS) is a division of Loblaw/Shoppers Drug Mart that centrally fills prescriptions for patients and provides other prescription processing services. By streamlining these crucial functions, we enable Pharmacists and their teams at Shoppers Drug Mart locations to focus on what is important – the patient! We are committed to creating the most streamlined and versatile central fill network in the country. This role is a 1-year contract position for the morning shift, with requirements to work some weekends and statutory holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to Hospital or Long Term Care Pharmacy
• Experience working in a retail pharmacy environment
• Pharmacy Technician Diploma from accredited college

Responsibilities

• Fill a variety of prescriptions efficiently to maintain workflow
• Prepare compounds, mixtures and temperature control items
• Package blister pack medications
• Deliver completed product based on schedules
• Ensure appropriate follow up on minor issues
• Synchronization and collaboration with other departments
• Ensure organization of work station and inventory shelves
• Maintain appropriate supplies and materials
• Some involvement in prescription information management
• Recognize liability on the outcomes of service provided
