About The Position
Bayshore Medical Personnel is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant for a full-time contract opportunity in Valcartier, QC, to support Military Health Services. This role offers a rewarding experience with a unique patient population and focuses on daytime hours, Monday to Friday, with no nights or weekends. The Pharmacy Assistant will support the Pharmacist in various pharmacy services, including compounding, packaging, labeling, record maintenance, and inventory management.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of Pharmacy Assistant experience within the last five (5) years.
- Experience providing direct patient care.
- Experience working in one or more clinical settings, such as a hospital or community setting.
- Current certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Diploma in a Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician program from a post-secondary school.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing pharmacy services under the direction of the Pharmacist.
- Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products.
- Maintain prescription records.
- Conduct inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products.
