About The Position

CoverMyMeds LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy operations. This role involves assisting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with various tasks to ensure efficient and accurate medication dispensing and patient care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a pharmacy setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing medication inventory, including checking for expired drugs.
• Process and prepare prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or certified pharmacy technician.
• Enter patient and prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system.
• Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including pharmacy workstations and storage areas.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, record-keeping, and preparing documents.
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and company regulations and policies regarding pharmacy practice and patient privacy (HIPAA).
