About The Position

This role is responsible for managing all pharmaceutical inventory, including the receipt, storage, and organization of incoming supplies, as well as preparing and fulfilling medication orders for the department. The technician will also be responsible for the meticulous preparation of both sterile and non-sterile compounds, and accurately repackaging bulk medications, while adhering to the highest quality and safety standards. Additionally, the role serves as a communication bridge between the pharmacy, patients, and other health professionals, efficiently triaging incoming calls and providing crucial, accurate information to ensure coordinated and exceptional patient care.

Requirements

Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience. OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
One year of pharmacy tech experience.
