Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: I. Responsible for completing Pharmacy tasks including: Checking incoming e-prescriptions. Entering patient demographics and insurance information in the system. Obtaining co-pay assistance. Contacting patients to schedule prescriptions pick-up. Contacting patients to collect co-payment. Complete prescription transaction, print receipts and package medications for pick-up. Package delivery totes for courier. Arrange courier route and schedule. Upon receiving returned totes, empty contents and distribute mails/packages to staff. Scan returned receipts into pharmacy system. Bring out medications to front desk for patient pick-up and return medications to pharmacy. Maintaining and emailing prescription pick-up log for communications. Updating medication return log. Answer phone calls, check voice mail messages, check incoming faxes and check text messages. Completing filing as necessary. Assisting in organizing office supplies and paperwork. Assisting pharmacy technicians and pharmacist with daily tasks. II. Miscellaneous Respects and maintains the patient’s right to privacy by protecting confidential information and adhering to HIPAA guidelines. All other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience: High School diploma Qualifications: Position requires excellent organization skills, ability to multitask and attention to detail. Must ensure accuracy throughout all procedures. Required to follow established policies and procedures for the handling and safeguarding of confidential files and records and organization of medical records.
