This role oversees the coordination of medication access and the elimination of barriers that may prevent patients from receiving their medications. It involves advanced tasks such as new employee onboarding, training, and competency development. The position leads projects aimed at enhancing patient safety and efficiency within the department, facilitates initiatives, and offers mentorship and leadership to pharmacy support staff. The individual will maintain knowledge and skills of medication access and manage a caseload of patients in partnership with a clinical pharmacy specialist.
