About The Position

Baptist Health is looking for a Pharmacist to join their team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a PRN, various shift opportunity located on their campus in downtown Jacksonville. This role is in central operations, covering the Central Pharmacy, IV room, and OR Satellite. The Pharmacist will be responsible for checking patient orders, authorizations, and dispensing medications. They will also supervise technicians and consult with other medical staff on medication and regimens. This position offers hybrid functions within the central pharmacy and the chance to gain clinical experience.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist - State Board of Pharmacy Required
• Licensed Pharmacist - DOH Required
• Bachelor of Science Required
• A Pharmacist license within the State of Florida is required.

Nice To Haves

• In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy Experience is preferred
• PGY1 Residency is preferred

Responsibilities

• Entering orders with great accuracy.
• Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
• Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned.
• Answering questions for all health care professionals.
• Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.
