About The Position

This role ensures safe and effective medication management by reviewing, verifying, compounding, dispensing, and overseeing the appropriate selection, dosing, and administration of medications. The Pharmacist will identify, prevent, and resolve drug-related problems, recommend formulary alternatives, and collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to optimize patient care. This position also involves supervising and supporting pharmacy technical personnel in medication preparation, maintenance, and distribution processes to ensure accuracy and compliance. Additionally, the Pharmacist will provide drug information, patient counseling, and education to medical staff and patients, support academic initiatives as a preceptor, and provide coverage across pharmacy operations as needed.

Requirements

Pharmacist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
