About The Position
West Anaheim Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is a 219-bed acute-care hospital providing medical and surgical inpatient care, emergency and surgical services, behavioral health, heart care, and diagnostic imaging. The Pharmacist coordinates pharmacy department activities to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to hospital patients while ensuring patient safety. Patient care may encompass general medicine and surgery, intensive care, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency care, oncology, peri-operative care, geriatrics, and outpatient services. The position works under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy.
Requirements
- Current state Registered Pharmacist license.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.
- APhA Immunization Certification.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hospital pharmacy operations.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- BLS and ACLS certification are preferred; BLS is also listed as a facility-specific requirement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate pharmacy department activities to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients served by the hospital.
- Ensure patient safety.
- Provide pharmaceutical care across applicable patient care areas, including general medicine and surgery, intensive care, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency care, oncology, peri-operative care, geriatrics, and outpatient services.
