About The Position

Fuller Hospital is a 109-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro, Massachusetts providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to residents of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Inpatient units are designed to treat adults with general psychiatric or intellectual disabilities, as well as adolescents with general psychiatric issues. Patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders can be treated on most units. Fuller Hospital also provides a less intensive Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) to patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. Responsibilities

  • Maintain the daily operation of the Pharmacy for assigned shift by relying on experience and personal judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Manage drug cost and inventory
  • Notify physicians of new generic drugs available, encourages proper dosage and ordering to keep inventory levels low
  • Performs a variety of tasks, including logging data to a computer and performing Drug Utilization Review
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge to provide the appropriate doses of medication for patients of all ages, and is adequately trained in making dosage adjustment
  • Proficient in detecting potential drug-drug or drug-food interactions
  • Must be capable of communicating medications formulary alternatives to medical and nursing staff, and assisting in drug information questions
  • Keeps accurate pharmacy records and complete narcotic inventories on regular basis. Unit dose only, no IVs
