About The Position

This PRN Pharmacist position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to handle difficult situations with good judgment and professionalism, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The role involves functioning effectively in a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment, utilizing critical thinking, and adhering to STAR Standards. The pharmacist must be able to interpret pharmacy-related journals, respond to inquiries from customers and staff, and effectively present information to various groups. Advanced mathematical skills are necessary for dosage calculations and data analysis. The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is essential, as is the capacity to interpret technical instructions and manage abstract variables. Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA policy is crucial. The role contributes to organizational mission and goals and participates in survey readiness and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program required.
  • Valid, unrestricted license as a Pharmacist in the state of WI required.
  • Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education, experience, experience or subsequent training
  • Specific to Ambulatory Care
  • Credentialed and enrolled with payors through Patient Financial Services.
  • BLS required within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates ability to apply necessary advanced mathematical concepts, such as exponents and logarithms.
  • Demonstrates ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as dosage calculations, formulation of pharmaceutical preparations and data analysis.
  • Demonstrates ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrates ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract variables.
