About The Position

Encompass Health is hiring a Pharmacist for its inpatient rehabilitation setting. The pharmacist helps ensure safe medication use and supports patient well-being through medication management integrated into rehabilitative care. The role involves making management decisions and recommendations and exercising independent judgment. The pharmacist also contributes to pharmacy policies and clinical services and works with the care team to support positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Hold a pharmacy degree from a U.S.-accredited program, or from an international program evaluated by a recognized certifying agency as substantially equivalent to U.S. accreditation standards.
• Hold a license in good standing from the State Pharmacy Board for the state where the hospital is located.

Nice To Haves

• One year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations to meet customer and patient expectations.
• Contribute to the development of pharmacy-specific policies and procedures in compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agency regulations.
• Participate actively in the interdisciplinary team, using critical information to support positive patient outcomes.
• Interpret, compound, and dispense medications accurately in accordance with legal and professional pharmacy standards.
• Make management decisions and recommendations and exercise independent judgment.
• Contribute expertise to medication management in rehabilitative care.
