About The Position

As a Compounding Pharmacist at Mixlab, you’ll play a hands-on role in creating customized, high-quality medications for our veterinary patients from start to finish. You’ll compound a variety of non-sterile preparations, including capsules, tablets, oral liquids, and topical medications, while ensuring exceptional accuracy, quality, and compliance with USP <795> and New York pharmacy regulations. You’ll also counsel clients, collaborate across teams, and support our veterinary partners and Care team as needed, making this an ideal opportunity for a pharmacist who is passionate about compounding and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Licensed pharmacist in NY, in good standing with all State Boards of Pharmacy
• Formal training in non-sterile compounding or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in non-sterile compounding
• Impeccable attention to detail, and incredibly high standards for accuracy and quality
• Collaborative and have a desire to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, startup environment

Nice To Haves

• Veterinary compounding experience

Responsibilities

• Compound non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations, including but not limited to the compounding of capsules, tablets, oral liquids and topical medications.
• Compound medications, fill and label prescriptions, and package medications - in other words, full-service compounding from chemicals to packaging.
• Counsel clients on different medications, needs, usages, and instructions.
• Keep accurate records and monitor inventory levels in accordance with USP 795, State Board of Pharmacy regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the development team to provide guidance on product features, participating in sales activities such as calling or visiting veterinary clinics.
• Perform Care Pharmacist duties on an as needed basis
