About The Position

Matrix Providers is hiring a Pharmacist to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in Bremerton, WA. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. The role involves performing a full range of pharmacist procedures, delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical services, counseling patients on medication use, reviewing patient profiles, compounding medications, and supervising inventory control. The work is performed in an outpatient facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
• Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
• One year of professional pharmacy experience after graduation.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of pharmacist procedures
• Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the facility's personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities.
• Counsel patients regarding the appropriate use of medications.
• Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing to monitor medication therapy closely.
• Ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications or overlaps, allergy information, age-specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients.
• Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancies of the above-listed items.
• Compound medications as required.
• Ensure the accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff.
• Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, especially scheduled pharmaceuticals, and ensure pharmacy security.
• Maintain appropriate records and security of all scheduled controlled substances according to applicable regulations.
