About The Position
Walgreens is seeking a pharmacist to provide patient-focused pharmacy and healthcare services. The role combines medication expertise and patient consultation with clinical services, medication safety, regulatory compliance, and support for pharmacy team members. The pharmacist will educate patients about medication use, side effects, and cost-effective options; provide services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management; and accurately compound and dispense medications. The position calls for a patient-focused, collaborative, service-driven problem-solver who continues to learn and support colleagues.
Requirements
- BS in Pharmacy or a Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
- Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
- Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
- Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
- Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
