About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Cleveland Fairhill is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. The Pharmacist plays a central role in providing compassionate care and clinical support for the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment. The role requires working knowledge of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture. The Pharmacist also supports safe and effective medication use, patient education, employee training, and continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

• Successful completion of all educational requirements mandated for state licensure.
• Current state licensure.
• BLS certification if required by the state.

Nice To Haves

• PharmD, or BS Pharm plus an advanced degree, or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support for the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies in the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly inform and instruct patients on drugs to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
