About The Position

Walgreens pharmacists are medication experts and trusted healthcare providers who deliver patient-focused care. The pharmacist provides expert pharmacy consulting, educates patients about medication use, side effects, and cost-effective options, and delivers clinical services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management. The role also ensures medication safety through accurate compounding and dispensing and compliance with applicable regulations. Pharmacists mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative environment. Requirements

BS in Pharmacy or a Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
