About The Position

Pharmacist Red Rock Pharmacy is a fast-growing compounding pharmacy located in Meridian, Idaho, specializing in customized medication solutions for patients and healthcare providers. We are currently seeking Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN Pharmacists to join our growing team.

Requirements

• Active Idaho pharmacist license in good standing
• Working knowledge of pharmacy compounding regulations and standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient safety
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and professional phone etiquette
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a pharmacy team
• Professional, dependable, and adaptable approach to pharmacy practice

Nice To Haves

• Previous compounding experience preferred (but not required), including sterile and/or non-sterile compounding
• Familiarity with USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800> preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare, compound, and formulate customized medications based on patient-specific prescriptions and requirements.
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding, including injections, ophthalmic preparations, topical formulations, capsules, and other customized dosage forms, while following established procedures and quality standards.
• Perform and document appropriate quality checks, calculations, ingredient verification, and final product inspections to ensure the safety, accuracy, and quality of compounded medications.
• Ensure all compounding activities comply with applicable USP standards, including USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800>, as well as FDA, DEA, and Utah Board of Pharmacy requirements.
• Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare providers to develop appropriate customized therapies and provide professional consultation regarding compounded medications.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare providers regarding prescriptions, medication use, potential concerns, and customized treatment options.
• Supervise and provide direction to pharmacy technicians involved in compounding and pharmacy operations, ensuring proper procedures, accuracy, and patient safety.
• Maintain accurate compounding records, formulas, logs, and other required documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with general pharmacy operations and contribute to a clean, organized, efficient, and professional compounding environment.
