About The Position

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full-Time Pharmacist at our Marketplace Pharmacy location in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Our pharmacy plays a vital role in the health and wellness of our community. We are currently seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our team and help deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care in a friendly, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work well within diverse and collaborative teams and be self-reliant, goal-oriented, and able to set and adjust priorities and workflow. Requirements

  • An accredited Pharmacy Degree with successful completion of Saskatchewan licensing requirements and are in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals.
  • Previous Saskatchewan pharmacist experience.
  • Saskatchewan’s Advanced Method Certification (AMC).
  • Fluent with Kroll Pharmacy Software.
  • An evident commitment to patient safety, accuracy, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Demonstrable professional competencies coupled with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical, analytical, and technical skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • A motivated life-long learner.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Co-operative Retailing System experience is deemed an asset.
  • Eager to embrace advanced score of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Partner with our committed team to provide a full range of pharmacy services.
  • Ensure patient safety through accurate prescription verification, appropriate medication use, and effective patient counseling.
  • Perform prescription processing, dispensing, verification, and required record keeping.
  • Compound in accordance with NAPRA guidelines.
  • Embrace opportunities to utilize advanced scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education to clients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Promote quality improvements by identifying and addressing medication errors, workflow inefficiencies, and opportunities to enhance pharmacy services.
  • Exercise professional judgement and practice within federal, and provincial, legal and regulatory requirements, Pharmacist Code of Conduct, NAPRA standards of practice, and Lake Country Co-op policies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy technicians and assistants.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and control of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
  • Support and follow the Safety Management and Asset Protection systems, and training requirements.
