About The Position
PharmcareUSA is excited to announce that we are opening a location in Middletown, CT, and are in need of a Registered Pharmacist to join our team!! We are looking for an energetic, patient caring, critical thinking, person that can communicate, both written and verbally. Previous LTC experience is a plus, but not necessary for the right candidate. PharmcareUSA is a national, closed-door, long-term care pharmacy business with locations in multiple states. We are privately owned and continue to grow each year, providing daily medication deliveries and consulting services to nursing and assisted living facilities as well as hospice residents. We are passionate about what we do and are looking for staff with the same attitude. We strive to take care of our own staff as well as the customers we serve.
Requirements
- Comply with State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations at all times
- Maintain required Continuing Education credits
- Maintain current licensing by the state(s) in which he/she practices
Nice To Haves
- Previous LTC experience is a plus
- IV experience is a positive
Responsibilities
- Assist and manage pharmacy technicians as required and as necessary
- Assist with phone calls as necessary
- Oversee proper inventory management and medication ordering
- Assist with and oversee Medication Returns and E-Kit management
- Develop and supervise medication management systems to ensure that adequate supplies of medications are available to meet resident care needs, stored under appropriate and secure conditions, delivered to residents in a timely, safe, and efficient manner, and labeled appropriately.
