Requirements

Active California Pharmacist license (required)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Experience in long-term care or closed-door pharmacy preferred

Responsibilities

Serve patients by preparing medications and providing pharmacological information to multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Monitor patient drug therapies and recommend interventions when appropriate
Provide pharmacological expertise by answering questions from healthcare professionals and counseling on drug therapies
Ensure safe, accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals
Oversee pharmacy operations by organizing and directing workflow of Pharmacy Technicians
Verify preparation, labeling, and order entry of medications
Ensure accuracy of charges, inspections, and overall workflow efficiency
Supervise and support pharmacy support personnel
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
Maintain controlled substance records and remove outdated or damaged medications
Maintain a clean, safe working environment
Consult with multidisciplinary care teams across facility locations
Demonstrate genuine care and commitment to patient outcomes
Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers
