Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • Active registration (or immediate eligibility for registration) as a Pharmacist in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Alberta (CPAB).
  • Must be Injection Certified in AB.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search (required upon hire).
  • Strong clinical assessment capabilities, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work seamlessly both independently and within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous clinical experience in direct patient care or a hospital setting.
  • Technical proficiency with electronic health records and medication order entry systems (experience with Kroll is highly preferred).
  • Compounding experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical assessments, manage medication therapy for chronic and acute conditions, and provide comprehensive patient education on prescriptions.
  • Administer vaccinations/injections, adapt prescriptions, and proactively manage drug therapy to prevent and treat health disorders.
  • Supervise and participate in the preparation, packaging, and distribution of medications, ensuring absolute accuracy in dosage, labeling, and storage.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care and streamline transition plans.
  • Act as the trusted clinical drug expert for patients, families, and community healthcare professionals.
