About The Position

The Pharmacist is responsible for complying with all applicable company policies and procedures, servicing and satisfying customers’ health care needs in and out of the pharmacy area, and maintaining a professional rapport with ordering physicians. This role involves processing prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner, coordinating and implementing training for pharmacy staff, providing counseling, and performing annual employee evaluations. The Pharmacist will also maintain inventory levels, participate in store operational meetings, manage outdated or recalled merchandise, maintain reports, and ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws, rules, and regulations. Other duties as assigned are also part of this role.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy
  • BSPh
  • License and hold a current Ohio Pharmacist License
  • Knowledge of organization services available to customers
  • Knowledge of product location within the store to be able to direct customers
  • Knowledge of phone system, especially calls for refills and new prescriptions
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn the proper use of mechanical equipment utilized in this position
  • Ability to talk with other healthcare professionals in a professional, businesslike manner
  • To handle stressful situations in a professional manner
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment for extended periods of time
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to meet continuing education requirements
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move items up to 75 pounds
  • Involves standing and walking 90% of the time

  • One year Pharmacist experience preferred

Responsibilities
