Provide comprehensive pharmacy services within a collaborative healthcare environment supporting U.S. government personnel in Iraq. Working alongside physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, this Pharmacist role combines medication management, clinical consultation, patient education, and pharmacy operations oversight to support safe, effective, and coordinated patient care. This role offers the opportunity to practice across a broad clinical scope while contributing to medication safety, interdisciplinary care coordination, and professionally managed healthcare delivery within an established international healthcare program.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Full unrestricted U.S. Pharmacist licensure required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • 3+ years of recent pharmacist experience, including at least 6 months within the last year.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid passport.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT security clearance and ability to meet deployment-related medical and physical requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in international, military, or multidisciplinary healthcare environments.
  • Familiarity with integrated clinical workflows and collaborative patient care delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and dispense medications while supporting safe, effective treatment plans across a broad range of patient care needs.
  • Provide medication counseling and clinical education to patients and healthcare staff regarding dosage, interactions, side effects, and appropriate medication use.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams to support medication management, optimize patient outcomes, and ensure continuity of care.
  • Monitor medication therapies for safety, effectiveness, and compliance with pharmacy regulations, clinical protocols, and quality standards.
  • Oversee pharmacy inventory, medication storage, procurement, and distribution processes while supporting organized pharmacy operations and workflow continuity.
  • Support health screenings, pharmacy documentation, and supervision of pharmacy support staff within the scope of pharmacy practice.
