About The Position

This position is for a Pharmacist at My Pharmacy Crystal River. The possible schedule is Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role involves enforcing pharmacy policies and procedures, performing various pharmacist tasks, managing inventory, resolving patient complaints, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and TJC standards. The pharmacist will also participate in Quality Improvement-Quality Assurance programs.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college or university
• Current and unrestricted Florida Pharmacy License
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
• 2 years experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting
• Excellent communication skills that will foster trust, clear vision, and mutual respect
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to resolve employee, client and patient issues with a strong service mentality
• Ability to identify areas of opportunity, develop a plan of action to improve, implement and evaluate plan effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel

Nice To Haves

• Experience opening a new pharmacy
• Experience with Rx30

Responsibilities

• Enforce pharmacy policies and procedures
• Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management
• Accountable for safe medication storage, diversion monitoring and other pharmacy inventory activities
• Resolve patient complaints and answer questions to ensure a positive patient experience
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations
• Ensure compliance with all applicable TJC standards and elements of performance (EPs)
• Participates in CCRH QIQA (Quality Improvement-Quality Assurance) programs, including the review of error reports, drug utilization reviews, and adverse drug event reporting.
