About The Position

Walgreens pharmacists are medication experts and trusted healthcare providers who deliver patient-focused care. The role provides pharmacy consulting, patient education, and clinical healthcare services while ensuring medication safety and regulatory compliance. The position requires a BS in Pharmacy or a pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution, current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district, and certification as an immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days of hire. Applicants need at least one year of retail pharmacist experience.

Requirements

• BS in Pharmacy or a pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
• Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
• Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
• Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
