We have a new opening for a PRN Pharmacy Technician . The PRN Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist with day-to-day operation of the pharmacy. The technician will perform stock maintenance, place orders, and restock with incoming orders the Automatic Dispensing Cabinets (ADC). The technician will maintain accurate and adequate records; conduct audits, as requested. Is able to identify both internal and external customers and supports hospital mission. Other duties as assigned.
Hours will vary and applicants need to have flexibility with his/her availability.

Requirements

• Sufficient combination of education and experience required to fulfill job tasks and responsibilities.
• Two years practical experience in pharmacy preferred.
• Must be licensed and registered with Board of Pharmacy.
• Must be at least 21 years of age per Commonwealth of Virginia Interdepartmental Regulation of Children’s Residential Facilities. (22VAC42-11-380, pg. 43)
• Must have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• Good communication skills; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Basic clerical skills, basic experience with office equipment (telephone, copy machine, fax, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Ability to problem solve and accept feedback when circumstances warrant such actions.
• Willingness to interact with patients with varying levels of cognitive functioning.
