About The Position

Walgreens pharmacists are medication experts and trusted healthcare providers who deliver patient-focused care. The role provides pharmacy consulting and patient education, delivers clinical healthcare services, ensures medication safety and regulatory compliance, and supports and trains pharmacy team members. The position requires a pharmacy degree, current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district, and immunizer certification or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of hire. Applicants must have at least one year of retail pharmacist experience. The position remains open until filled.

Requirements

BS in Pharmacy or a Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
