About The Position
This role is for an Inpatient Pharmacy Pharmacist at Ascension Providence in Waco, TX. The full-time position operates on a night schedule. The pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing medication orders for safety and accuracy, compounding and dispensing medications, collaborating with care teams to provide clinical pharmacy expertise, leading and mentoring pharmacy technicians, and providing patient education on medication management.
Requirements
- Pharmacist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
- Hospital Experience
- IV Certification
Responsibilities
- Review medication orders to ensure safe, accurate, and effective therapy for every patient.
- Compound and dispense medications with precision to ensure timely delivery of essential patient treatments.
- Collaborate with care teams to provide clinical pharmacy expertise and facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
- Lead and mentor pharmacy technicians to ensure seamless operations and high standards of service.
- Provide patient education to empower individuals in effectively managing their medication health.
